On July 21, 2021, Yaoqiang LI, Chairman of China National Salt Industry Group Co Ltd (CNSIG), and his delegation visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) to sign a strategic cooperation agreement with the University.
Fengliang LI, University Council Chairperson, Qikun XUE, President of SUSTech, Dongxiao ZHANG, Vice President and Provost, and Yusheng ZHAO, Acting Vice President, welcomed the guests and held discussions with the delegation.
Yaoqiang LI acknowledged the achievements of SUSTech’s achievements and spoke about the scientific research results of CNSIG. He hopes to strengthen cooperation with SUSTech in the fields of basic chemical industry, salt cave energy storage, new energy, carbon neutrality, and peak carbon dioxide emissions.
President Qikun XUE welcomed Yaoqiang LI and his delegation to visit SUSTech. He said that SUSTech, a new type of research university established in Shenzhen to reform and develop higher education in China, has always adhered to the development strategy of the region and the country.
SUSTech will collaborate with CNSIG to explore new models and paths for university-enterprise cooperation and jointly contribute to China’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality.
Shengwei MEI, Chief Scientist of China Salt Jintan Co.,Ltd , briefly spoke about the scientific research progress of the company in energy storage. Tianshou ZHAO, member of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chair Professor of the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering (MEE) at SUSTech, spoke about technological progress and implementation methods in the field of energy storage.
In view of Chairperson Fengliang LI and attending guests, Qikun XUE and Yaoqiang LI signed the strategic cooperation agreement as representatives of both parties.
After the signing ceremony, Yaoqiang LI and his delegation visited the SUSTech’s exhibition of development and achievements.
Yilan DUN, Deputy General Manager of CNSIG, and heads of the relevant departments at SUSTech also attended the meeting.
