From December 1 to 2, 2021, the 9th China Institutional Repository Conference was held online and was hosted by the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).
The event was organized by the China IR Implementation Group (CIRG) and co-organized by the National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), SUSTech Library, and the Confederation of China Academic Institutional Repository (CHAIR).
Dongxiao ZHANG, Vice President and Provost of SUSTech, delivered the opening speech at the conference. In his remarks, he said that this is a very important platform for theoretical and practical exchanges. He hopes that the participants could share their ideas and expertise in this area and help bring SUSTech’s institutional repository development to a new level.
The theme of the conference is focused on the sustainability of the institutional repositories. More than 20 experts and scholars in different fields at home and abroad were invited to give keynote reports and held in-depth discussions on the latest developments and trends in the research and practice of institutional repositories.
The conference also promoted mutual understanding between domestic and foreign experts and pointed out the direction for the sustainable development of the institutional repository, which has far-reaching theoretical and practical significance.
