Over the weekend, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) welcomed a delegation from Heyuan City in Guangdong Province to campus, led by Secretary Chen Jinsong of the Peace County Committee. The delegation was met by SUSTech University Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang.

At the meeting, Heping County county chief Huang Haisheng talked about the geographical environment, history, culture, resources and ecology of Heping County.

SUSTech Secretary-General Chen Siqi briefed the Heyuan City delegation about the work being done by SUSTech in assisting Chaotian Village in their poverty alleviation projects, the effectiveness of the projects and the plans for 2019-20.

Secretary Chen Jinsong thanked SUSTech for its support work. He looked forward to cooperating with SUSTech in collaborative innovation and upgrading of the industrial park.

Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang said that SUSTech’s assistance work achievements are the result of extensive participation, and synergies between SUSTech and Heyuan City. He briefly talked about the basic plan for future assistance work. Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang looked forward helping Heyuan City even more with the support of the Heping County Party Committee and the county government.
