New educators welcomed

Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) welcomed its new educators for the upcoming academic year. SUSTech University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong, Office of Human Resources Director Chen Zhifeng and the heads of other departments attended a meeting with all the new teachers.

Chairperson Guo Yurong welcomed the new faculty members, hoping that they would develop deep roots in the fertile soil that SUSTech provides, in order to build a world-class research university. She said that educating people is the most important responsibility of the new teachers, and hoped that they would find a good balance between their scientific research, teaching and residential college duties. SUSTech has developed its talent pipelines through enlightening its future talents with a global vision, comprehensive qualities and innovative abilities.

Dean Wu Jingshen from the School of System Design and Intelligent Manufacturing joined Assistant Professor Tang Bao and Professor Liu Jiang from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Professor Yang Liang from the School of Medicine to talk about life at SUSTech. They reiterated the innovative mechanisms at SUSTech greatly appeal to scientific research personnel. The new scholars will be able to quickly integrate into the SUSTech community, while they provided recommendations for logistical support and network security across campus.
