Recently the Pacific Rim Meeting on Electrochemical and Solid-State Science (PRiME 2016) has taken place in Honolulu, Hawaii, with the participation of over 4,000 experts and scholars from around the world. Quadrennial PRiME enjoys a great fame in the academic and industrial circles. As a world-recognized top international academic meeting on electromechanical and solid-state science, PRiME aims to bring together top-notch researchers, scientists and engineers from the Pacific Rim to discuss the latest research findings of electromechanical and solid-state science.
Six undergraduates (Nan Bo, Shi Yang, Yu Sicen, Wu Dong, Zhang Dehui, Shi Haohong), on the research group led by Associate Professor Lu Zhouguang of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), made presentations and demonstrated posters.
The experts and scholars present acclaimed the research level of SUSTech’s undergraduates, appreciating their ability to get involved in research projects early at the undergraduate stage and achieve outstanding research findings. At the meeting, the six undergraduates showed the good mental look and high research capacity of SUSTech’s students.
PRiME 2016 was hosted by the US Electrochemical Society in association with electromechanical societies in countries such as Japan, Korea, China and Australia.
