On June 17, Professor Sun Lichun from Tulane University visited to SUSTC on invitation for academic exchange, to give a academic lecture titled as peptide carrier targeted drug, which was hosted by Associate Professor Hou Chunhui of SUSTC.

On the lecture, Professor Sun introduced three aspects of contents, i.e., polypeptide drugs, chemical small molecule drugs and peptide carrier targeted drug. He emphatically introduced the pre-clinical experimental result of peptide carrier targeted drug suppressing tumor growth, transfer, etc., taking CPT-SST and FK506-SST as examples. Professor Sun is very willing to bring his research results of more than ten years at abroad into China especially Shenzhen to complete the industrialization. At the same time, he hopes he can carry out relevant cooperation and research with professors of SUSTC.

Researchers of the Department of Biology of SUSTC listened to the lecture earnestly, and conducted heated discussion and exchange.
