On the morning of April 6, Freddy Boey, Provost at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), visited Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). Council Chairman Li Ming, President Chen Shiyi, Vice President Tang Tao, as well as heads of the Office of Human Resources, the Office of Global Engagement, the Office of Education Affairs, the School of Engineering and the Office of Information Technology Services attended the meeting with Boey.
At the meeting, Li warmly welcomed Boey. Vice President Tang Tao, Director Hou Shengtao, Director Han Wei and other leaders of SUSTech introduced SUSTech’s mode of postgraduate training, international cooperation, “three-in-one” student work pattern integrating the Office of Students Affairs, the Youth League Committee and residential colleges, mode of “631” autonomous enrollment, mechanism of talent introduction, etc. SUSTech attaches great importance to globalization and expects to carry out in-depth cooperation and exchange with NTU, said Li. He also consulted Boey about NTU’s experience in teaching mode, informatization, etc.
Prior to the meeting, Boey visited SUSTech’s campus, sand table, as well as the laboratories and test centers of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the Department of Physics in the second research building.
