SUSTech’s 2018 Employment and Entrepreneurial Training Sessions Commence

On May 18 and 19, the first sessions of the 2018 Employment and Entrepreneurial Training started. Hosted by Residential Colleges Director Han Wei, the training attracted advisors and secretaries from the Office of Student Affairs, Residential Colleges, and Academic Departments.

The training discussed both domestic and foreign affairs. On matters beyond China’s borders, topics included SUSTech’s joint education program with universities outside Mainland China and policies on financial aids for studying abroad. Domestic training themes included on-campus recruitment from well-known enterprises, the postgraduate entrance examinations, students’ career options after graduation, government’s funding for students’ start-ups, innovation and start-up business among graduates, and psychological counseling for graduates.

Currently, SUSTech has coordinated with academic departments and residential colleges to offer graduates’ guidance on employment and start-up businesses. The Office of Student Affairs and residential colleges have scheduled future meetings to make more detailed plans.
