Last week, the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held the second session of its teacher training. This session focused on “Multimedia Courseware Production and Application Skills.” The training was given by Associate Professor Chen Jiang from the School of Information Science and Technology of Peking University.

Associate Professor Chen Jiang talked about the advantages and disadvantages of PowerPoint presentations (PPTs) as a method of delivering coursework. He went into detail in discussing a variety of aspects required to make effective PPTs for coursework. He then moved onto how to properly use multimedia to achieve academic outcomes.

More than 70 teachers from all departments participated in the training. After the meeting, the attendees gave feedback about the course and what they learned.
