Earlier this month, the China Aeromodelling Design Challenge (CADC) was hosted in Nanjing. The aeromodelling team of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), with the support of the Sports Center and Shude Residential College, won several prizes in different contests.
The SUSTech team won 2 first prizes in the electric glider competition, and a third prize in the water-propelled rocket competition.
Organized by the General Administration of Sport of China and the Aero Sports Federation of China (ASFC), this event is the largest scale and highest level of scientific research aerospace model competitions in China, attracting thousands of students from more than 40 universities and research institutions from across mainland China.
