Recently, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) Sports Center teacher Lai Sha won the second prize of the National Higher Education Mixed Teaching Design and Innovation Competition. This is the best result of any teacher of any university in southern China.
The National Higher Education Blending Teaching Design and Innovation Competition is guided by the Chinese Higher Education Development Network (CHED) and organized by Shanghai Jiaotong University. The competition proceeds into the preliminary, semi-final and final stages. Both the preliminary and semi-final are subject to online assessment and the final is evaluated by open project presentation.
The competition aimed at teachers and offers a platform for online and offline blending teaching design innovation and teaching reform exchange. The competition attracted more than 250 universities across the countries providing 663 teaching projects.
Lai Sha’s program is an innovative teaching model for sports dance, in which she stood out among many contestants and has become a leader in the hybrid innovative teaching model
Lai Sha is a member of the former Chinese Sports Dance National Team, a national coach, and a national first-level referee. She has participated in various types of competitions on behalf of the country and has won numerous awards. She won the “Outstanding Teaching Award” at the 2019 SUSTech Teachers’ Day Awards. She has won numerous teaching awards at the university, municipal, provincial and ministerial level.
