On May 24, the Future Business Leaders Program (iLEAP) of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) welcomed the China Vanke Group founder and honorary chairman of the board Shi WANG as the distinguished speaker for the seventh course of the program. The course is organized by the SUSTech School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and co-organized by Deep Dive, CW Group, and the Shenzhen Mountaineering & Outdoor Sports Association.

The course featured two modules of the New Urban Four (Quadrathlon) competition and keynote speech. It integrated and delivered the sports spirit, speculative spirit, and entrepreneurial spirit to the students. There were three sports competitions and an intense debate competition within the Quadrathlon.

Shi WANG spoke about self-discipline and moderation. He reflected on his personal experience, saying that people should be able to recognize the boundaries of their abilities to work out where they can best perform. Students should form micro-habits as a pathway to collecting small victories and defining their standards for achievement.

Shi WANG also talked about moderation in conjunction with Vanke’s management philosophy, pointing out that entrepreneurs should control their business capabilities, values, and credibilities. One cannot determine the limits of the unknown, but we can control our boundaries and limits, so let self-discipline and restraint accompany each other to progress.

School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Dean Ke LIU added that we are inviting excellent business leaders to guide and cultivate members of the iLEAP program. iLEAP strives to support the industrial transformation of the Greater Bay Area and contribute to China and the rest of the world.

iLEAP is a business leadership course jointly developed by the SUSTech School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the HEC Paris School of Business. It seeks to inherit the experience of reform and opening up by gathering the power of high-tech talent entrepreneurship and integrating it with the educational concepts of top business schools around the world. It leverages the scientific research strength of SUSTech to foster, cultivate, and nurture the future corporate leaders of the Greater Bay Area and the world.
