SUSTech residential colleges plant trees to honor Class of 2020

On June 24, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) planted trees in the Lakeside Dormitories as part of the graduation celebrations for the Class of 2020. University Council Vice Chairperson Fengliang LI joined Shuren College Dean Limin HUANG and Zhicheng College Dean Guozhi XIAO, along with students and teachers from the residential colleges.

University Council Vice Chairperson Fengliang LI spoke about the highlights of the Class of 2020. He hoped that the Class of 2020 would continue to be tenacious and adjust to the changes that they will face in life. They will remain fearless in the face of adversity and use their youth to contribute to the development of society.

Shuren College Dean Limin HUANG and Zhicheng College Dean Guozhi XIAO provided graduation messages to the Class of 2020, encouraging them to support the development of an innovative China. Graduate representatives shared their progress at SUSTech, speaking about how SUSTech had cultivated them into the men and women they are today.

Student Affairs Director Zheng XUE and Alumni Association Deputy Secretary-General Jun GENG issued appointment letters to members of the Alumni Association management team. New members of the Alumni Association management team included Ying JIANG (Shuren College) and Yinqi CHEN (Zhicheng College)

The graduate tree-planting activity is an annual celebration that takes place towards the end of each academic year. The Class of 2020 chose a crape-myrtle, which is full of flowers all year round.
