On April 15, 2021, the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held its 2021 Campus Career Fair and Spring Talent University-Enterprise Workshop, which was jointly sponsored by the Shenzhen Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and SUSTech. Fengliang LI, University Council Vice Chairperson, attended the event which was hosted by the Shenzhen Public Employment Services Center.
The Spring Talent University-Enterprise Workshop was held in the Conference Hall of the SUSTech Convention Center. More than 20 corporate executives and representatives from renowned organizations attended the event, including Ping An Bank, Bank of Ningbo, Han’s Laser, BYD, and TCL.
Fengliang LI welcomed the representatives of the participating organizations and hoped that the companies would give more consideration to the growth and progress of top talents emerging from the University and follow the development of SUSTech in the future.
Zheng XUE, Director of the Office of Students Affairs, gave a brief introduction of SUSTech to the organizations in attendance and its plans for the future. Representatives from different departments throughout the University also gave introductions on their department, talent training programs, and scientific research.
Zhendong LIU, Vice President of the Bank of Ningbo (Shenzhen branch), introduced the company’s talent training plans and hopes to further establish a joint talent training program with SUSTech. He welcomed students of the University to participate in internships at the Bank of Ningbo.
The Campus Career Fair was also held simultaneously on the second floor of the SUSTech Convention Center. The purpose of this event is to implement the Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, and National plan for the further enhancement of employment opportunities for university graduates and broaden their employment options. Well-known organizations in the fields of IT, finance, education, electronics, biomedicine, and other industries participated in the event. So far, an estimated 2,389 resumes were received by the participating companies at the recruitment fair.
The career fair provided participating organizations and job seekers with a collection of guidelines on employment services and policies for university graduates and also provides a one-to-one placement service by four experienced career guidance specialists to help job seekers find top-quality talent.
