On July 29, 2021, Wei HUANG, Director of the Academic Committee at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and Vice President Weihong ZHANG led a delegation to visit the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).

Dongxiao ZHANG, Vice President and Provost of SUSTech, Dapeng YU, Dean of the Shenzhen Institute for Quantum Science and Engineering (SIQSE) and Academician of CAS, and heads of relevant departments held discussions with the guests.

Vice President Dongxiao ZHANG gave a brief summary of the current state of affairs at SUSTech, its philosophy, and recent achievements. He hopes that both universities will strengthen exchanges and carry out further cooperation in the future.

Wei HUANG and Weihong ZHANG acknowledged the rapid growth and high-quality development of SUSTech. They added that they look forward to strengthening their relationship with SUSTech and promoting the development of both universities.

After their meeting, Director Wei HUANG and his delegation also visited SUSTech’s exhibition of development and achievements and the SIQSE to learn more about its history and scientific research.
