On November 7, 2015, 2015 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Association of Quantitative Economics was held in Fuzhou. Professor He Jia of SUSTC Department of Financial Mathematics and Engineering was invited to the Meeting, who gave a keynote speech entitled Gradual Reform and Assets Pricing in China.

As the first speaker at the 2015 Annual Meeting, Professor He Jia pointed out in his speech that assets pricing is the core issue in the study of modern finance. When studying the emerging market, the academic arena focuses on 2 aspects, e.g. what emerging markets do to contribute to risk diversification for international risks, and what impact the additional capital inflow has on the emerging markets and on the economic growth in the developing nations.  When studying the emerging markets, we often presume that reform and opening-up are completed once and for all and we often don’t care for the process of opening up. Nevertheless, because the China adopts the tactics of gradual reform, some fundamental problems brought by the reform have perplexed the country for a long time. Professor He raises his own opinions on pricing in the Chinese capital market. Probably such arbitrage opportunities have their risks and arbitrage behaviors will be constrained in various ways, such as the release of new policies and underdeveloped financial market, etc. What we want to know is how the arbitrage risks impact on assets price, or whether the factor is part of the assets pricing system.
The Chinese Association of Quantitative Economics (CAQE) was co-established by  Professor Wu Jiapei and Professor Zhang Shouyi in 1979, who are known as the famous Chinese economists and founders of quantitative economics and information economics in China. Since establishment of quantitative economics in China, its teaching, study and application have made great progress in the country. Quantitative economics is now an integral part of economics in China, making great contributions to the growth and international development of economics in China.
The 2015 Annual Meeting of CAQE, hosted by CAQE and Fujian Normal University, was held in Fujian Normal University. The topic of 2015 Annual Meeting is the cutting-edge theory, methodology and policy design of quantitative economics in China.
