February 18^th saw the first day of the 2019 spring semester in Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). Students opened a new chapter in their campus life. SUSTech University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong, President Chen Shiyi, University Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang, Vice President Tang Tao, Lu Chun and Teng Jinguang went on an inspection tour in SUSTech along with people in charge of the teaching departments and relevant functional departments

Guo Yurong and Chen Shiyi went to the first teaching building and Building 1 of Lychee Hills. Chen Shiyi also participated in an English teaching class where he exchanged his views and talked with students in English. The students were deeply encouraged and said they would cherish the opportunities and resources in their studies.

Guo Yurong and Chen Shiyi also checked the teaching and laboratory facilities, the arrangements of classrooms and offices of the teaching building. Chen Shiyi said that it was necessary to strictly implement SUSTech’s rules and regulations. All departments, faculties and staff must take up their duties and responsibilities; carry out the teaching work and related managements and services so as to create a good learning environment for students.
