In order to cultivate the environmental awareness of students and maintain a beautiful campus, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held a tree-planting activity. University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong and Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang joined in the planting activity with teachers and students on the north side of Runyang Stadium.

They planted some purple trumpet trees, which represent hope and appreciation. They hoped that these trees would grow up well with SUSTech.

Guo Yurong said that, Arbor Day is a good opportunity for everyone to work together actively for campus development, in order to create a good ecological environment.

Li Fengliang said that planting trees encourages everyone to love and to make a beautiful campus.

After the planting activities, Chairman of the SUSTech Union of Volunteer Association, Chen Weiyu read out a proposal called “Green Life starts now”.
