March 29 witnessed the establishment of the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) Hong Kong Education Foundation. The foundation symbolizes a new step for the development of SUSTech.

SUSTech Council Chairperson and Chairman of the Education Foundation Guo Yurong, Chairman of Runyang Group Yang Jun came along with nearly 30 corporate guests. The first director of the SUSTech Hong Kong Education Foundation Tu Ronghui presided over the ceremony.

The SUSTech Hong Kong Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to carry out fund raising activities in the fields of education, science and technology. It will welcome donations from overseas to support SUSTech’s development.

Chairperson Guo Yurong briefed the audience on the innovations and achievements of SUSTech in recent years and thanked all walks of life for supporting the University’s development. She believed that the Foundation is an important platform for SUSTech to strengthen its influence in the Greater Bay Area. It will provide support for SUSTech and overseas universities to carry out double degree and exchange education. SUSTech hopes the Foundation can attract more supports and raise funds to achieve further development.

Chairman Yang Jun affirmed the establishment of the Foundation and reviewed the in-depth cooperation between Runyang Group and SUSTech. He pointed out that innovation is the common link between both parties.

Director Tu Ronghui talked about the Foundation and said that the pioneering spirit of Shenzhen and Hong Kong had seen both cities improve themselves diligently in their own ways. The Foundation would uphold these traits to fully support innovation and development at SUSTech.
