Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) President Chen Shiyi has been the leading figure in the next stage of our admissions efforts. Faculty members have been traveling across the country in a coordinated effort to find the best and brightest potential freshmen.

On the weekend, President Chen Shiyi stepped foot into the famous Tiantai Middle School in Zhejiang Province. He addressed nearly 200 Senior Three physics students, before presenting a scientific report to over 900 Senior Two students.

The Zhejiang Admissions Seminar also traveled to Hangzhou. More than 400 candidates were joined by their parents and people from all walks of life.

SUSTech has continued to carry out various talent training reforms and innovations. President Chen Shiyi hoped that students interested in exploring and innovating would come all the way to join SUSTech and achieve their dreams. His speech received a rousing response from all in attendance, and President Chen took many questions.

During his time at the Zhejiang Admissions Seminar, President Chen Shiyi also undertook an intensive press conference with Zhejiang media outlets. He was able to introduce SUSTech’s latest developments and characteristics to the media.

Since April, many other university leaders, academicians and professors have traveled across the country to carry out many popular science lectures in order to enhance our admissions and enrolment work. Finding the best and brightest minds is a key part of maintaining an innovative university in an innovative city.
