Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Water Resources Bureau Zhang Liwei led a delegation to Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). He was greeted by SUSTech University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong, SUSTech President Chen Shiyi and Vice President Lu Chun. Leaders from other water-related bureaus joined the forum, along with Presidential Executive Council member Zheng Chunmiao.

Chairperson Guo Yurong welcomed the delegation from the Water Resources Bureau, and discussed the future development of the SUSTech campus. Both sides discussed the creation of water resources laboratories, ways to improve the quality of the Dasha River and general water infrastructure issues at SUSTech.

President Chen Shiyi said that the Dasha River is beautiful, and the management of the Dasha River should reflect our faculty and students’ daily life. Both sides should work together to improve the quality of the river.

Mr. Zhang Liwei said that the Shenzhen Municipal Water Resources Bureau would not only effectively manage the water resources and environment at SUSTech, but also work hand in hand with SUSTech in related research fields.
