Last weekend, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) farewelled several student players, as they are graduating soon. The 2019 graduate team, faculty team, alumni team and student teams got together for a series of friendlies at Green Pine Capital Stadium. The event was organized by the SUSTech Alumni Association, the Sports Center and the SUSTech Football Club.

The Graduate team took on all three teams, first defeating the students 3:2, before going down valiantly to the faculty and alumni teams, 1:3 and 0:2 respectively. Following the final game, Sports Center coach Sun Yan presented the Most Valuable Player for the season with their trophy.

Alumni Association Deputy Secretary-General Geng Jun and head of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering Sun Xiaowei hoped that the graduating students would maintain close contact with their alma mater through the Alumni Association. 2019 graduate representative He Yaodong offered his best wishes to his alma mater.

The captain of each college team wore custom armbands for the captains who were officially retiring. The captains all signed a commemorative No. 19 jersey, reflecting the continued spirit of football at SUSTech.
