On the afternoon of June 30, 2016, Education Working Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee held a celebration meeting for the 95th anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), in which leaders awarded the honorary titles of “Advanced Basic-level Party Organizations”, “Excellent CPC Member”, “Excellent Party Affairs Worker”, as well as “Model CPC Member in Campus” to representatives attended. GuoYurong, Secretary of Education Working Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, Director of Education Bureau, Chairperson of University Council, addressed the meeting.

SUSTech RC general Party branch of CPC won the title of “Advanced Basic-level Party organizations”; five individuals，including Pan Jinghui, He Jiaqing, Zhang Ling, Gong Yi and Cheng Junxiang, were crowned as “Excellent CPC Member”; Li Pengfei, Li Xinghua and Xue Zheng were awarded as “Excellent Party Affairs Worker”.

Ten delegations from Shenzhen educational departments chorused under the theme of “Sing Patriotic Songs and Be Qualified CPC Members”. Representatives of SUSTech sang two songs—In Bright Sunlight and the Song of Probity and Self-Discipline, which gained thunderous applause.
