On the Light Conference 2016 held in Changchun, Assoc. Prof. Guo Chuanfei from SUSTech won the Best Paper Award of Light: Science & Applications (LSA) (impact factor: 13.6) by Nature for his paper “Metallic Nanostructures for Light Trapping in Energy-harvesting Devices”. He, along with four other scientists home and abroad, received the award from Prof. Cao Jianlin, Editor-in-Chief of LSA and former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China.
Guo Chuanfei is an associate professor of Department of Materials Science & Engineering, SUSTech and became a member of the Recruitment Program for Young Professionals run by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee in 2015. His research focuses on nanofabrication techniques based on thin films, highly stretchable and transparent electrodes and devices, and synthesis of nanostructured thin films, as well as the application of the above-mentioned materials in the fields of new photoelectronics, biomedicine and nano energy.
