From September 1 to September 2 in 2016, SUSTech held new employee orientation in the lecture hall of No.1 Research Building. Over 170 new employees took part in the training.

During the new employee orientation, Chairwoman of University Council Guo Yurong extended warm welcome to all new employees. She briefly introduced the history and current situation of SUSTech. In her speech, she also expressed her wishes in three aspects: first, new employees could reinforce the establishment of teachers’ morality and ethics, give high priority to moral education, and cultivate firm beliefs; second, new employees could create a sound environment to facilitate the development of SUSTech; third, new employees could integrate into SUSTech as soon as possible, stick to high standard and strict requirements in the pursuit of excellence, and thus create a brighter future with SUSTech.

Vice President Wu Chuanyue gave elaborate introduction of the overall picture and thoughts of running SUSTech with data. Moreover, he expressed his expectation that all employees could make concerted efforts to build SUSTech into a world-class university.   

Heads of Office of Education Affairs, Office of Human Resource, Office of Students Affairs, Colleges, Office of Research, Office of Finance, and Office of Campus Operation introduced rules and regulations, and working procedures of each office to new employees respectively.
