In order to improve the level of our school’s administrative services, and facilitate the students’ study and growing, clerk Yurong Guo visited and investigated six colleges this week. In the symposium held by every college, Guo communicated with students face to face, found out the situation of students’ study and life , help them solve their difficulties.    

The afternoon of September 22th, clerk Guo came to Zhixin college as her first stop. Guo shook hands with teachers from the Zhixin college, and thanks them for their contributions to Liyuan and this new college.

Guo and teachers visited classrooms, dining hall and students’ dormitories together.  After that, Guo chatted with students in the activity room kindly. They talked about every aspects about study and living , and dealt with the difficulties students has faced.

At the beginning of this symposium, Executive Vice-President of the Zhixin college Lingjun Wang teacher introduced the general situation of the college, containing the missions of Zhixin college, developments of the executive team, improvements of the hardware and the rich and colorful activities aiming at the 15th and 16th students. Students here all applauded and showed their respects to the primary constructors. Then, clerk Guo highly commended the work of the Zhixin college’s construction, and encouraged all of the teachers and students to devote ourselves into the development of our campus SUSTech actively. 

Then Guo asked students to speak freely, and queried about the practical problems they have faced. Students are all at ease and spoke without reticence. They came up with many common concerns as well as many constructive suggestions.

A 15th student proposed that comparing with living in Hupan apartment, the traffic conditions in Liyuan are not very convenient. The school bus is not always in time and the public bike storing area have to close during  debugging which is really often. Another 16th said this was his first time living in school, he is really thankful for the resources and convenience given by SUSTech. The only thing is the diversity of the Liyuan dinning hall. There is no noodles in Liyuan dinning hall, he wondered whether the canteen can offer noodles in future.

Time passed quickly, clerk Guo listened carefully to students’ views and took them down the notes at the same time. Teachers who knew some answers solved part of problems right there. As for the remaining problems, Guo said they would find a way to solve the rest difficulties for students. In a relaxing atmosphere, this seminar came to an end. Guo encouraged students to participate in the construction of new colleges actively, make effort together to create a better atmosphere of study and living and also chase for improvements to be part of the advance students.
