On the afternoon of September 23, 2016, the Academic Board held a second meeting on Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Cell Microenvironment (hereinafter referred to as Key Laboratory). The meeting was attended by members of the Academic Board, including Prof. Wu Chuanyue, Vice President and Director of Key Laboratory, Prof. Li Luyuan, Chief Scientist (cancer cell microenvironment) of the National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), Prof. Dai Yifan, Director of the Key Laboratory of Antibody Technique of Ministry of Health at Nanjing Medical University, Prof. Liu Zhihua, Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Oncology, Prof. Cheng Tao, Chief Scientist of the National Special Science Research Program of China (973 Program, a research of regulatory mechanism of maintenance, senescence and regeneration of hematopoietic stem cells) and Prof. Zhang Jian. Prof. Xiao Guozhi, Chair of Department of Biology and Vice Director of the Key Laboratory, presided over the meeting.

Prof. Xiao Guozhi reported on the Key Laboratory’s working condition, results achieved, and laboratory upgrading plan. 

After listening to the report, the attendees held discussions and gave their opinions and suggestions on the Key Laboratory’s research direction upgrade, talent recruitment, and future cooperation and exchanges with domestic and international peers.

The meeting cleared the thoughts for the next phase of the Key Laboratory’s development. And it will also play an important role in developing the Key Laboratory’s future development goals and determining its overall development strategy.
