On November 26, 2016, “New Materials and Energy Science” SUSTech Summit was held at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), with the participation of nearly 100 new materials and energy science experts and scholars from institutions and universities such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Nanjing University and Sun Yat-sen University. New materials and energy science is a key technological field in the country’s “Thirteenth Five-Year” Plan, and SUSTech has attached great importance to and advanced relevant research projects, said him. He introduced SUSTech, expecting the experts and scholars to continue paying attention to and supporting the construction and development of SUSTech.

Ye Hengqiang, a CAS member from the Institute of Metal Research, CAS and Li Shutang, a CAS member from Suzhou University presided over the lectures.

Tian introduces the progress of the theoretical research on new-type high-performance super-hard materials and nano twin crystal diamond research.
Prof. Liu Changsheng gives a lecture
Liu introduces the progress of tissue regeneration and the function of three-level-pore-structured bone repair materials in vascularization.
The summit was organized by the Department of Physics, SUSTech and ran for two days. Yu and He chaired the summit.
