SUSTech celebrated 2017 International Women’s Day with special events for the female staff.

Exhibition Half the Sky of SUSTech was held to tell touching stories of the university’s female staff dubbed “The Wonder Women”. 66 pictures on show were selected from more than 400 photos shot by student journalists from our student-run news agency SUSTech Daily.

The exhibition was co-hosted by the University’s Female Labor Committee and Office of Communications and Public Relations. GUO Yurong, Party Secretary of SUSTech visited the exhibition.

We also prepared gifts for every female staff on the first floor of the Science and Education Center, festively decorated with colorful balloons.

In the afternoon, GUO Yurong met with female staff representatives as well as CHEN Xinyi, a renowned female director and shared life stories.
