On March 25^th, China’s Intelligent Integration Technology Meeting was held in SUSTech with the China Mechanical Engineering Society and set up in the 110 lecture hall.

The seminar was jointly organised by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and SUSTech. The chairman of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shen Changyu attended the meeting.

The meeting was overseen by Prof. Rong Yiming, Dean of the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering. Professor Rong introduced the school’s key characteristics and faculty members, and said that SUSTech aims to become a high-level education center, with an advanced and innovative philosophy to become a first-class university.

Mechanical Science Research Institute President Professor Han Xinmin intervened to sum up the work of the third session of the Council and reported the work of the general organization. He was followed by China Mechanical Engineering Society Deputy Secretary-General Xing Mei, who read the fourth session of the Council’s introduction speech. He also used the opportunity to announce that the fourth session of the Committee will be taken over by Professor Shen Changyu, and composed of 131 people.

During the meeting, specialists were commissioned to review academic reports on various fields, such as specialist on material forming process and manufacturing Shen Changyu.

Professor Sun Linfu from the Xi’an Jiaotong University, and member of the National 863 Plan Advanced Manufacturing Technology expert group was also present, and explained that he believes the Internet and transformational innovation for the manufacturing industry can provide a new opportunity for economic development, such as clouds calculation, personalization, service and networking.

On March 26^th, the seminar continued along 4 themes, which were modular design and rapid design technology, process equipment and mold technology, manufacturing services and information technology, and manufacturing process planning technology, each one led by a discussion group to explore new ideas.
