Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) launched its iLEAP Future Business Leaders Program on Friday. SUSTech Vice-President Lu Chun was joined by Prof Otto Chui Chau Lin, former President of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), HEC Paris Business School Assistant Dean Nathalie Lugagne, former president of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Lawrence J. Lau and Green Pine Capital founding partner and chairman Luo Fei. Other dignitaries attended the launch with Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Liu Ke presiding over the launch.
SUSTech Vice President Lu Chun thanked all the guests, and pointed out that SUSTech focuses on the cutting edge of science and technology, constantly improving the competitiveness of basic and applied basic research. He hoped that iLEAP students would push to be the best in the world, by growing and developing in the Greater Bay Area into the future business leaders of the new era through their innovative entrepreneurial spirits.
Green Pine Capital Chairman Luo Fei spoke to the importance of his company’s belief in the development of technology for entrepreneurial activity. They have always believed in technological innovation as a driver for industrial change. He anticipates that the iLEAP program would train business leaders based in the Greater Bay that would have an enormous impact on global society.
The iLEAP Future Business Leaders Program is a business leadership course jointly developed by the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at SUSTech and the HEC Paris Business School. It is supported by Green Pine Capital and aims to unite the power of high-tech talents to start a business, by integrating the educational philosophy of top business schools with the scientific research strength of SUSTech. Ultimately, the iLEAP program will become a technological leader by merging dreams with capital, and cultivating future Greater Bay Area based business leaders.
