Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) has received approval for four new post-doctoral research stations in mathematics, physics, biology and mechanics. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Human Resources & Social Security, in conjunction with the National Postdoctoral Management Committee.

Post-doctoral research stations are organizations approved by universities and higher education institutions to recruit post-doctoral researchers. All four post-doctoral research stations applied for by SUSTech were approved which represents a major breakthrough for SUSTech’s post-doctoral work.

In the past, SUSTech has a national post-doctoral research workstation and two post-doctoral innovation practice bases in Guangdong and Shenzhen. Through these platforms, more than 680 post-doctoral students were trained by joint training. At present, there are 426 post-doctoral students in our school. The new post-doctoral research stations open a new chapter in the development of SUSTech’s talent pipeline, supporting SUSTech’s scientific development.
