Prof. Tao Nongjian from Arizona State University Visit Materials Science and Engineering Department

On June 4th, 2015, by Prof. Tian Yanqing of Materials Science and Engineering Department, Prof. Tao Nongjian from Arizona State University was invited to visit SUSTC and give us a wonderful lecture entitled” Chem- and Bio-Sensors of  Sustainable Environment and Health”.

In the beginning, Prof. Tao introduced location and school-running characteristics of Arizona State University. Prof. Tao gave a wide range of topics including molecular electronics, nanostructured materials and devices,chemical and biological sensors, interfaces between biological molecules and solid materials, and electrochemical nano fabrications.After the lecture, prof. Tao talked deeply with students on some concerned questions and research fields.

Professor Nongjian Tao, director of the Center for Bioelectronics and Biosensor at the Biodesign Institute,  professor  of the Department of Electronic Engineering,and the adjunct professor of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Arizona State University. He was elected as the Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Physical Society both in 2010. In 2012, he joined Nanjing University as a distinguished professor.
