The afternoon of November 25 saw a media delegation from Chongqing municipality visit Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) led by Chongqing Municipal Publicity Department of the Press Section Deputy Director Wang Yonghui. SUSTech Communications and Public Relations Director Zhang Ling, Technology Transfer Center (TTC) Director Zhang Zuotai, Teaching Affairs Deputy Director Ye Fei and members of the Chongqing Admissions team all gave interviews to the media delegation.

University Council Member Zhang Ling welcomed the Chongqing media delegation to SUSTech, providing a briefing about the progress of the University, focusing on its mission, talent pipelines and innovations in a variety of different areas. TTC Director Zhang Zuotai talked about the industry-university research platforms at SUSTech, while Ye Fei led the Chongqing Admissions team in discussing the direction of its enrollment of Chongqing talents in recent years.

Deputy Director Wang Yonghui said that the media delegation was significantly impressed by SUSTech’s achievements. As an emerging innovative university, SUSTech serves regional urban development and trains the future leaders for the new era. He hoped that the media delegation would promote and report of the innovative practices of SUSTech so that the citizens of Chongqing would better understand both Shenzhen & SUSTech.

The media delegation conducted interviews at Shenzhen Southerntech Fuel Cell Corp., Ltd., the Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center, the SUSTech School of Microelectronics and the Core Research Facilities in order to learn about the development of SUSTech.
