On November 29, the Core Research Facilities (CRF) at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held a user exchange workshop. It sought to better serve the teaching and research work of the SUSTech community.

Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) Head and CRF Director Cheng Xin provided a briefing about the CRF.

The leaders of several platforms within the CRF introduced their platforms before CRF Deputy Director Man Ching Alan Ng went into the regulations. CRF Secretary Zhang Yu explained the equipment & instrument booking procedures.

Platform leaders and representatives took many questions on challenging topics, while also collecting information and suggestions for the expansion of their services.

The Core Research Facilities are a public scientific research platform that provides testing services both within and without SUSTech. It supports 260 research groups on campus, with over four thousand registered off-campus users. Papers that cite the support of CRF have been published in top academic journals such as Science, Nature, Energ. Environ. Sci, and A.M.
