On December 3, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) welcomed a delegation from Shantou University. President Jiang Hong and Executive President Wang Quan led the Shantou University delegation. They met with SUSTech President Chen Shiyi, University Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang, Vice President Lu Chun, and Acting Vice President Zhang Dongxiao. They were joined by senior leaders from both SUSTech and Shantou University.

Both sides discussed the construction of medical schools, interdisciplinary disciplines, and the laying of talent pipelines. Shantou University President Jiang Hong spoke about the development of the School of Medicine at Shantou University. She shared her experience of its construction and looking forward to furthering cooperation with SUSTech.

SUSTech President Chen Shiyi introduced many aspects of SUSTech’s development. He went on to talk about the construction of the SUSTech School of Medicine and cross-disciplinary development. President Chen Shiyi hoped that both universities would continue to work together to cultivate outstanding talents, produce top scientific research, and serve society.
