Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) took the opportunity to show off just a small segment of its scientific and technological achievements at the 2019 Guangdong Transformation of University Scientific Achievements. From December 5 to 7, these two events were sponsored by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science & Technology, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry & Information Technology, and the Foshan Municipal Government.
As part of the conference, the Technology Transfer Center at SUSTech organized several exhibitions. These displays showed SUSTech’s scientific research strength and abilities in transforming its research outcomes into technological products. Highlights of the exhibits included the wafer imprint-based chip manufacturing technology based on nanoimprint by Professor Cheng Xin’s team and an automated solution for processing free nucleic acid samples by Ge Dongliang’s team.
SUSTech also had two teams compete in the 2019 Guangdong University Science and Technology Achievement Roadshow Contest. Materials Science and Engineering Associate Professor Sun Dazhi’s team brought their “Super Hydrophilic / Hydrophobic Coating Film Product” to compete in the Growth Group. Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies Research Assistant Professor Yang Fan’s team came third in the start-up group with their “Multifunctional Wear-Resistant Super Hydrophobic Coating” project.
