On December 1st, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) hosted the Future Entrepreneur Club in its competitive elections and enrollment event. School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Deputy Dean Shao Liyang and SUSTech Education Foundation Secretary-General Tu Ronghui both attended with outstanding entrepreneurs from SUSTech.

School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Deputy Dean Shao Liyang welcomed everyone and spoke about the Future Entrepreneur Club.

The Future Entrepreneur Club runs its student elections differently from other student organizations at SUSTech. Many student teams registered to run the Future Entrepreneur Club, but only six student teams qualified for the penultimate stage. Each of the six shortlisted groups had unique interdisciplinary features across multiple grades. All of them had vibrant innovation & entrepreneurship experience.

Each of the six teams set out clear goals for 2020. They had different mission statements, operating systems, and performance evaluation models. The groups also provided an insight into their planned interactions with the Future Entrepreneur Club and the activities they wanted to hold. The speakers were all very confident, receiving unanimous praise from the judges.

Through a comprehensive evaluation of all six teams, the judges determined the final four teams. These four teams were enrolled as the initial members of the Future Entrepreneur Club, with a leadership group chosen from them.

The second group won the competition and appointed as the Future Entrepreneur Club Council. It was a diverse team across several different disciplines & rich practical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Future Entrepreneur Club seeks to provide a people-oriented opportunity to improve the ability of its member students while collaborating with top entrepreneurs and management leaders. They will help the members develop their entrepreneurial problem-solving skills.

Many students also signed up to become members of the Future Entrepreneur Club. The club offers a communications platform for students who want to develop a start-up business.
