On December 22, Southern University of Science and Technology’s (SUSTech) Shuli College held its first Winter Solstice Festival, in which teachers and students celebrated the longest night of winter together. Members of Shuli College, including students, tutors, and their families, came together to enjoy the festival.

Shuli College Dean Li Lan sent his best wishes for the festival. Shuli College Academic Vice President MAE Professor Hong Wei hoped that everyone would have the chance to enjoy themselves throughout the festival.

Shuli College gave special gifts to all the tutors and students involved in developing Shuli College into what it is today. Teaching Affairs Director Huang Kefu was highlighted explicitly for his role in the development of Shuli College. Several students and organizations were also given awards for their service throughout 2019.

As part of the tradition of the winter solstice, everyone rolled and stuffed dumplings together in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
