Faculty members should consider the development of the liberal arts on campus when actively applying for the National Social Science Fund projects. Li Fengliang encouraged the assembled scholars and researchers to select their topics carefully and conduct due diligence when preparing their applications.

School of Humanities and the Social Sciences Dean Chen Yuehong discussed the progress made in 2019. He said that faculty members should pay attention to the direction of their academic issues while integrating it with the development of liberal arts at SUSTech. Dean Chen Yuehong encouraged the attendees to focus on interdisciplinary research with science and engineering subjects for their future career development.
