On June 5, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) partnered with the Shenzhen Securities Information Co. and the Shenzhen Angel Fund of Fund to launch its first digital roadshow. It featured six non-medical projects from different fields at SUSTech.
With the support of the Technology Transfer Center (TTC), the roadshow was called the “University Start-ups Special: SUSTech.” The roadshow aimed at facilitating investment connection between SUSTech research outcomes/spin-offs and angel investors, speeding the transform from research outcomes to commercial products and services.
Six projects based on the research outcomes from the Department of Physics head Chair Professor Jiaqing HE, Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering professor Chenglong FU, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering assistant professor Zhaojun LIU, and Department of Materials Science and Engineering associate professors Chuanfei GUO and Dazhi SUN were presented. Near 200 verified investors joined the event.
The TTC will continue to cooperate with the Shenzhen Angel Fund of Fund ahead of the launch of the University Start-ups Special: SUSTech at Biomedical Area. It will seek to aid in the commercialization of biomedical research achievements.
