On July 3, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held its annual mid-year review of high-level scientific research platforms for the College of Science and the College of Engineering. College of Science Dean Xueming YANG and College of Engineering Dean Zhenghe XU led the expert review group. Acting Vice President (Research) Yusheng ZHAO attended the meeting with other review experts and department heads.

At the meeting, the heads of the research platforms and key platforms analyzed their progress, results, and areas for further support. They provided detailed reports on the implementation, development, and project management mechanisms. The experts in attendance provided vital opinions and suggestions for these platforms to progress.

The mid-year review has strengthened communication between project leaders, encouraging them to manage their priorities and adjust to ensure that they adhere to high project standards and quality. It is hoped that such a review will result in an improved efficiency while making breakthroughs in cultivating new achievements for SUSTech. The results of the review will be reported to the Office of Research for further consideration.
