The Department of Mathematics Assistant Professor Yong HU recently won 2nd prize (Science Group) in the 5th Guangdong Provincial Young Teacher Competition.

His lecture on “Applications of Euler’s phi-function in Elementary Number Theory,” reflected his rich teaching experience and humorous style. Undergraduate students flock to his classes, and his teaching style has previously been honored with wins in the 2019 SUSTech Young Teachers Teaching Competition, among other prizes.

Over one hundred teachers from 67 undergraduate colleges and universities across Guangdong Province took part in the finals. The science group is one of five groups, which also include liberal arts, engineering, medicine, and political education.
