From August 29 to 30, the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) hosted the 8th National University Student Optoelectronic Design Competition.

SUSTech won the excellent organization award. Three SUSTech teams guided by EEE Chair Professor Xiaowei SUN, Associate Professor Liyang SHAO, and research & teaching assistant Feng YUN won prizes.

The National University Student Optoelectronic Design Competition is a top competition hosted by the Chinese Optical Society, in conjunction with the National College Students Photoelectric Design Competition Committee. The competition seeks to promote the popularization of optoelectronic knowledge. It aims to strengthen the practical and innovative knowledge of university students.
