On November 15, the “2020 Excellent Middle School Students STEM Innovation Camp” had its closing ceremony. SUSTech Vice President Chun LU attended the ceremony. He was joined by 190 excellent seniors in high school from over 20 provinces.  

Chun LU introduced the high-level faculties, cutting-edge scientific research outputs, and research equipment of the University as well as its special talents cultivation model engaging all the undergraduates in scientific research. He expressed his hope that all the students become self-disciplined, curious, critical, and grateful, get good grades in the National College Entrance Examination and come back to SUSTech for their university studies.

During the three-day Camp, students got an opportunity to experience campus life in SUSTech and feel the charm of Shenzhen city. They attended cutting-edge lectures, undertook scientific experiments in the laboratories and experienced a range of university activities on campus, and got the chance to explore Shenzhen, such as visiting well-known enterprises and Shenzhen Industrial Museum.

At the end of the camp, the students spoke of their desire to come back to SUSTech for their university studies. They praised SUSTech for its unique characteristics, charming campus, English teaching models, and opportunities for international exchange.
