On November 29, SUSTech Lecture-Lang Lang’s Piano Masterclass was held in SUSTech Convention Center, which was packed with over 400 students and faculty. Lang Lang, one of the world’s most famous classical pianists and the Goodwill Ambassador of Shenzhen, came to the 266th SUSTech Lecture and communicated with students and faculty. Sponsored by SUSTech Education Foundation, the activity was co-hosted by the Office of Communications and Public Relations and the Center for the Arts.
The masterclass was live-streamed on the campus. SUSTech students performed on stage and received the careful guidance of Lang Lang. During the one-hour masterclass, faculty and students held their breath to observe the students and the master’s demeanor. Lang Lang’s passionate and personal style of teaching method won the applause of teachers and students.
Students said that such cultural activity, as a complementary education of the study of engineering and science, can help broaden their horizons and ignite a passion in their hearts.
During the class, Lang Lang gave praise to SUSTech students for their art accomplishment and clear logic. He expressed his hope that they can further improve their piano-playing techniques and enjoy music in their life.
