In September 3, 2015, commemoration activities were held in Beijing to mark the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. SUSTC students and faculty members watched the ceremony and the V-Day Parade.

In the morning of September 3, 2015, in the lecture hall of the teaching building and research building, more than 900 freshmen of Grade 2015 and teachers assembled to watch the live broadcast of the ceremony and the V-Day Parade.

SUSTC President Shiyi Chen and Professor Xumu Zhang were invited to attend the ceremony in Beijing.

Ms. Wu Zishan attended the V-Day Parade activity organized by the Association of Chinese Students & Scholars at Yale, who is among the pioneer batch of graduates from SUSTC.

The students spoke highly of the V-Day Parade, which in their opinion, had great impact on making China powerful through science and technology.
