On December 8, China University of Petroleum Secretary of the Party Committee Yong WANG and Vice President Jun YAO visited SUSTech. They were welcomed by SUSTech University Council Chairperson Yurong GUO and Vice President Dongxiao ZHANG.

In the meeting, Director of Office of Strategic Planning introduced the faculty, governance system, discipline construction, personnel training, and scientific research of SUSTech.

Yurong GUO said that SUSTech is an innovative university with a high starting point and high positioning, which was established in Shenzhen under the macro background of China’s higher education reform and development. The university aims to build a world-class research university. She hoped that the two universities will strengthen exchanges and in-depth cooperation to promote various undertakings to a new level.

Yong WANG spoke highly of the rapid and high-quality development of SUSTech. He said that it has set good examples in the exploration of talent introduction, construction of scientific research platforms, the transformation of technological achievements, and interaction between universities and cities for other colleges and universities. He hoped that the two universities can continuously deepen exchanges and cooperation and achieve win-win development.

Before the meeting, the delegation led by Yong WANG visited SUSTech’s 3D campus construction planning sand table and Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center.
