On December 14, the unveiling ceremony of SUSTech Pingshan Institute of Biomedicine-Hepalink Joint Laboratory was held in SUSTech. The ceremony was hosted by head of SUSTech Pingshan Institute of Biomedicine Xumu ZHANG. He was joined by SUSTech University Council Chairperson Yurong GUO, Acting Vice President Yusheng ZHAO, Director of Office of Strategic Planning Susheng WANG, Chairman of Hepalink Li LI, and other senior leaders of SUSTech and Hepalink.

Li LI highly appreciated the achievements made by the University in the past ten years. He said that the University has a strong team of scientists and expected the establishment of the joint laboratory to contribute to the city’s construction and development.

Yurong GUO said that Pingshan Institute of Biomedicine is the integration of resources in the University and Pingshan community, which supports the development of biological medicine in the Greater Bay Area. The close cooperation between SUSTech and Hepalink will promote scientific and technological innovation, which is of great significance to the innovation and development of universities and enterprises. She expressed her hope that the joint laboratory can create extraordinary achievements in Pingshan biomedical base.
