On January 21, 2021, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held its 2020 annual campus safety review meeting in the Convention Center. Chun LU, SUSTech Vice President, representatives from department heads, and safety officers from across the campus attended the meeting. It was chaired by Xianggui JIANG, Director of the Office of Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE).

Vice President Chun LU acknowledged SUSTech’s campus safety work in 2020. He emphasized that prevention and resolution of major risks must be the top priority of safety work. In response to the current epidemic, he pointed out that everyone must continue to understand the severity of the epidemic and make concerted efforts towards prevention and control measures on campus.

Xianggui JIANG summarized the safety work of SUSTech in the fourth quarter of 2020. He also made further plans for the University’s epidemic prevention and control, while also offering suggestions to improve traffic, construction, laboratory, and dormitory safety on campus.
